Lois Pollock writes: Over the past three years, I have been invited by several groups of women in various parts of Uganda to help establish savings groups or give suggestions on small business start up.  For people living on very low incomes with tiny savings, bank loans are not easily accessed and although there is a proliferation of micro finance organizations, the interest charged on loans from those is too high for the poorest of the poor.
